When specifying transfer switching equipment, request the type test report and confirm that it covers the applicable clauses of IEC 60947-6-1: utilisation category and rated operational currents, rated making and breaking capacity, short-circuit characteristics, transfer time, operational performance and mechanical durability. A sample routine test certificate alone is not a type test report.
